Pharisees Investigate the Healing (John 9:13-34)

102 Custom

In John 9:13-34, the story revolves around a man born blind who was healed by Jesus. After his healing, the man is brought before the Pharisees for questioning. The Pharisees are divided over Jesus’ actions because the healing occurred on the Sabbath, which they consider a violation of their laws. Some of them believe Jesus cannot be from God because he does not observe the Sabbath, while others are perplexed because of the miraculous sign. The healed man consistently testifies that Jesus is a prophet and from God, which leads to tension. The Pharisees, in their disbelief and opposition to Jesus, ultimately excommunicate the healed man from the synagogue.
