Matthew 01 Vocabulary
This Matthew vocabulary series is designed to walk you through the Gospel chapter by chapter, helping you build reading fluency in the Greek text as new words and forms appear in context. Each exercise introduces the vocabulary unique to that chapter, so by the end of Matthew you will have worked through the book progressively rather than memorizing isolated word lists. Memorize the vocabulary in this exercise first, then read through Matthew 1 and look for each word in context as it appears in the genealogy and birth narrative.
Matthew 1 introduces the genealogy and birth narrative of Jesus. You’ll meet family-line vocabulary, fulfillment language, and key words tied to Joseph, Mary, and the announcement of Jesus’ birth.
